Rafael Lopez is a serial entrepreneur. In 2002, he founded Foret Network Consulting to provide IT services and training to multinational companies in the financial, retail, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
In 2018, Rafael launched People & Topics, which combines his interest in understand the challenges of the senior citizens and finding ways to help them age in place successfully.
Rafael has collaborated with leading IT and telecommunications companies, including Cisco Systems and IBM. As past Secretary and Chairman of the Community Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Toronto, he has participated in projects designed to improve the lives of people of all ages.
Rafael is an active member of the Aging in Place Association of Canada (AIPAC.ca).
Yvette has a BBA degree from ITESM University. Her professional experience includes decision-making roles with companies in the logistics services and information technology, including Internet Solutions Mexico, S.A de C.V and Mexico Express.
As a creative woman with an entrepreneurial spirit, Yvette joined Rafael in identifying the need for a service that allows older adults to keep mentally active and socially connected from the comfort of their home. This is how People & Topics was born.
Yvette's commitment to the community includes serving as past Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Exatec Ontario Alumni Association and volunteering with the Rotary Club of Toronto.
Passionate about her family and proud of her roots, Yvette’s taste for Mexican food, mezcal, and tequila led her to create her first company in Canada, Mezcal People.

David Porter is the founder of Living Assistance Services and has been director of the Toronto office since 2000. David has thirty years’ experience in business and service, and was the Vice President of a number of residential development property management firms before opening Living Assistance Services.
Over the years, David has served either on or on behalf of numerous corporate and non-profit boards including The York School, The Greater Toronto Apartment Association, The Rose Town Non-Profit Housing Corporation, and The Richmond Hill Ecumenical Non-Profit Homes Corporation.
Mary Ellen Tomlinson

Mary Ellen Tomlinson is the founder and director of Senior Care Options Inc., an organization that specialises in advising families, trust officers, lawyers, and accountants regarding care for seniors. As a public speaker, she offers pragmatic advice to the business sector and communities on personalised care-planning, long-distance family care-giving, retirement residences, and long-term care facilities.
Mary Ellen is a member of the Ontario Palliative Care Association, the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association, the National Case Managers Network of Canada, the Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs, and the Women’s Executive Network. She is a past chair of the St. George’s Church Pastoral Care Team and continues to serve as a volunteer, and a volunteer palliative care visitor at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Mary Ellen has a diploma in gerontology/activation from George Brown College and a certificate in gerontology from Ryerson University. She is currently completing a degree at York University on “aging in modern times.” She is also a qualified re-motivation therapist.
Carlos E. Paz-Soldan

Originally from Lima, Peru, Carlos has been involved in IT since the mid-1970s, and has worked for and with companies large and small, in South America, Africa, and North America.
In 1984, Carlos founded Tenet Computer Group Inc., a Toronto-based IT value-added reseller and solutions provider.
Since 2010, Carlos also incubated Tenet Labs, a software division to develop innovative mobile solutions for sale around the world.
In March 2016, Carlos launched Techmien Corp., which is focussed on the development of innovative computing solutions like GreenRack Service, a SaaS cloud-based publishing service, and on the exploration of emerging technologies.
Carlos is also President of Hispanotech, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote and help advance the careers of Hispanic professionals in the Canadian technology sector.

With 20 years of experience, he directs his consulting practice for companies in industrial sectors such as metal working, high technology, education, and services, with a focus on innovation practitioners, training, organizational learning, and continuous improvement.
Carlos is also a B Corps consultant. B Corporations are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit. This is a community of leaders that drives a global movement of people who use business as a force for good.
In the academic field, Carlos has been the Director of the MBA and Global MBA in Emerging Markets programs of ITESO University. He has collaborated as a professor of innovation and strategy management at top universities in Mexico.
